Meet Jon
LPC, LMHC, CMPC
Jon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Massachusetts) and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certified through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Jon has experience working with adolescents, college students, emerging adults, and adults from various diverse cultural backgrounds. Jon’s clinical and mental performance approach is client centered in nature; genuinely caring, empathetic, and accepting. The focus is on meeting the client where they are moment-to-moment and exhibiting patience in the process of change and growth. While Jon empowers his client’s to be the expert on themselves and their experiences, he also challenges and encourages them to consider new ideas, insights, and perspectives. As a graduate of Boston College, Jon has intensive training in cultural humility and cultural competency, and a passion for social justice. Jon believes his style of providing care is intentional in normalizing mental health concerns and guiding clients towards increased self-awareness and self-compassion.

Jon is also certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through University of Massachusetts Medical. In his role(s) as a clinician, and/or mental performance coach for semi-professional, D3, D2, D1, and high school athletes, Jon incorporates empirically based mindfulness-based interventions into the collaborative work. In addition to being client-centered and helping his clients adopt a mindful attitude, Jon’s therapeutic methodology is rooted in values-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
