Andrew Toce, M. Ed, MBA, LPC, CMPC

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), Andrew is dedicated to enhancing the mental and emotional well-being of individuals, athletes, and performers across a wide range of settings. With a passion for psychology and a deep understanding of the intricacies of both clinical counseling and performance enhancement, Andrew brings a unique set of skills to his style and practice. He believes everyone has the ability to achieve their full potential in sport and life. 


As a CMPC Andrew works on: 

Performance Enhancement: As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, Andrew specializes in the unique challenges faced by athletes and performers. He is committed to helping individuals and teams reach their full potential by enhancing their mental skills. He specializes in the sports of Hockey, Golf, Soccer, and Volleyball. 

Peak Performance: Andrew works closely with athletes in various sports and performers in different domains to optimize focus, confidence, motivation, and emotional control. His goal is to help them achieve peak performance and maintain a competitive edge.

Mental Toughness: Andrew emphasizes the development of mental toughness, equipping athletes and performers with the mental resilience to excel under pressure, overcome setbacks, and persist in the face of challenges.

Goal Achievement: Through goal-setting strategies, Andrew assists clients in setting clear objectives and creating actionable plans to attain their aspirations, whether it be in the realm of sports, arts, or other performance-based pursuits.

Team Dynamics: In team settings, Andrew fosters better communication, cohesion, and leadership, ensuring that the group functions harmoniously and efficiently. He has extensive experience in creating culture within teams and helping sustain an environment of success.

Andrew's approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and active listening, creating a space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and concerns without the fear of judgment. 

Effective Communication: Andrew believes in the power of open and honest communication. Andrew works collaboratively with his clients to identify their goals and develop a personalized plan to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and more.

Problem-Solving Skills: Through evidence-based counseling techniques, Andrew help clients build problem-solving skills, improve self-esteem, and develop strategies to navigate life's difficulties with resilience.

Positive Change: Andrew's ultimate goal is to support clients on their journey toward positive change and personal growth. Andrew assists them in finding the tools and strategies necessary to lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

Andrew is also a Certified Golf Psychology Expert endorsed by the IGPA, listed in the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee Mental Health Registry, is a Mental Performance Coach for D1, D2 and D3 athletic teams and is an Adjunct Professor of Sport Psychology at Southern Connecticut State University. He blends all his experience into a person centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) model, that allows for growth, reflection, and life altering changes. His goal is to help athletes and everyday people achieve their full potential in whatever aspects they desire by finding their "Why" and building from there!
